３月11日に起こった東日本大震災。本校の卒業終業礼拝前日の出来事でしたが、生徒たちは皆無事に帰国しました。
英紙インディペンデント・オン・サンデーの１面には日の丸と共に「がんばれ、日本。がんばれ、東北。」とメッセージが掲載され、世界中が日本を応援しています。本校にも近隣の人々から続々と励ましのお便りが届いています。
被災された方々に心よりお見舞い申し上げると共に、亡くなられた方々のご冥福と、祖国日本の一日も早い復興を願っております。
