立教英国学院では、音楽の授業や個人レッスンで楽器を習っている生徒が、
毎年定期的に地元の音楽祭に参加しています。
2月16日（土）、Worthing Music and Arts Festival にピアノ・デュエットで出場した
高校2年生の女子2名が、立教生では過去最高となる95点を獲得、
メダルとカップを受賞しました。
音楽科のメンデルスゾーン先生によると、90点以上が honours となりますが、
95点という点数は滅多に出ることがない高得点だそうです。
（先生いわく、私が子供のときに取って以来、見たことない点数、であるとか。。。）
審査員の講評を下記に紹介します。

ADJUDICATOR’S REPORT
This was suitably swift and athletic with a fine sense of attack and rhythmical buoyancy. The accuracy was only rarely compromised in this musically shaped performance which enjoyed some characterful phrasing. Perhaps there could have been greater tonal opulence here, but the tempo gradations were instinctively negotiated. There were some moments when the balance afforded greater sensitivity, but this response (from memory by both pianists) sustained a bravura and stamina.
