今年で10年目を迎えたJapanese Evening。地元の学校の生徒さんたちを招いて本校生徒が日本文化を紹介します。１週間前から入念に準備を進め、当日は生徒ひとりひとりがホスト役として立派に訪れる人たちにアテンドできました。
その嬉しい成果が地元の学校の生徒さんたちからのメッセージという形で届きましたので、以下にご紹介します。

Dear Rikkyo School
I am writing to thank you for inviting our school, St Catherine’s to the mind blowing event you held last Friday evening.
As most of the other guests who attended, I enjoyed all aspects of the evening. As a self-learning Japanese student, it was very easy to follow the language and culture surrounding the event. It was very easy to understand and it was fun to learn new things.
The presentation at the beginning of the evening was very exciting and it was thrilling to learn more about the youkai’s; I would also like to thank Anane who helped me at her station.
The tea ceremony was Sugoi !! and very interesting to watch in real life, the yukatas worn were very kawaii, the kendo was also interesting and the introduction of the basic learning was very educative. Well done Kendo club!!
Again. Arigatou gozaimasu for inviting us to the event, it is an experience I will never forget, I would be very grateful if we were to be invited again next year!!

Dear Rikkyo School
Thank you for inviting us to visit your school. This was a great opportunity for us to learn more about Japanese culture.
Every booth was nicely decorated and the students were really polite. We particularly liked the chopsticks activities. We usually use forks and knives for our meals so it was a brand new experience for us. It was quite challenging. We also got to play with the kendama and Japanese cards. From the presentations we learnt more about Japan like the climate and Japanese tales. The tea ceremony demonstration and the kendo demonstration was a really special experience for us. They were really exquisite and we enjoyed it very much.
The evening gave us a great opportunity to know more about Japanese culture. Everyone of us took joy in the evening. Thank you once again for your very kind invitation.
